Crafty. Scissors. Scraps.

Oh, Hello!
[stole that line from My Drunk Kitchen!]
^^^^ you know what this is
if you read my post about being in love! :)
Oh and if you missed that post.
WATCH THIS!
NOW!!
Seriously you won't regret it.

Anyyyyways
[legit, I went to find a video to post in here, found that one, got sidetracked while I watched the WHOLE thing, and then cried from laughing so hard, then remembered SHIT! I was blogging!]
Ok Ok back to it!
When we went to Monday's game we got something FREE!
They were celebrating an announcer Jamie Jarrin
so we got shirts with his famous saying on it.

Well one thing you may not know about me...
I HATE T-SHIRTS!
like despise, with a passion haaaaate them!
Because I think they're constricting, they're too high in the neck, and just no thank you!
[or I just really like cleavage, who knows?]

So what's a clever, smart, blonde girl to do???
Turn that shit into a tank top!!!!
Woop Woop!
So here it is, my little tutorial on how to turn it into a tank top
[quick note, it turns out better if you can cut a little lower front neck and back but I didn't want to cut through all the words]

Steps:
1. Lay shirt out completely flat
2. Cut off neck seam, and both arms cutting inward like a tank top
3. Cut front part of neck lower, turn over and cut a deep V down the back of the neck and bring back arms in a little bit more
4. Cut off bottom seam, stretch it out to make a thin piece
5. Tie ^^ in tight knot a couple inches from the bottom of the deep V
wrap down the straps then back up to meet with knot you made
and then tie the ends together tightly
cut off loose ends
AND VOILA!

Sorry for the kinda crappy pictures, had to take by myself on my phone haha
Have you tried this before?
Tell me of your experience
and if you haven't GO TRY IT!
use my tutorial and tell me how it went!!

Later Lovelies!

  1. FIrst off thank you for your original post of MDK! I went and watched about ALL of the videos and I think that the Ice Cream and Brunch are my favorite. I nearly cried real tears and peed myself watching her shit. HILARIOUS!

Excellent work with the tshirt reconstruction! I love it. I might have to do this with some old shirts I have. For whatever reason... a lot of my old shirts are getting holes in the damn armpits... I wear DO I swear! But this might be just the ticket to revamp them. Or some of my smaller tshirts that I still love but can't rock because I feel like "fat guy in a little coat" wearing them!

Thanks for the inspiration! Happy Weekend!!!
